ok, i know that oil is leaking from the front crankshaft seal behind the vibration damper.....i was inspecting that area today and saw another seal sticking out from the vibration damper it is fairly large in diameter and i have no clue what it is, it seems to be inside the vibration damper :confused: ......thanks for the help

What you are seeing is the rubber ring sandwhiched between the inner hub of the vibration damper and the outer intertia ring. In other words, the vibration damper is made of three parts, a cast iron inner hub and a cast iron outer intertia ring, with a rubber ring press fit between the two.

If the rings have slipped, or the rubber is slipping out, this can affect your engine balance and crankshaft. Fix it before it comes apart.
