Alright, so I moved home and got my garage back! Time to pick up the Wagon from the storage unit. But SOB wont start. I am a lousy mechanic but jumping in there just the same. Went through a can of eather hehe. Still not wanting to run. C'mon Blue!(usually takes a little sweet-talking) Start ya Bastad' No luck - Hauled er' down to the local mechanic and we changed plugs, and replaced the fuel pump. Started right up!! Even passed inspection lol (only cost a few extra bucks) On my way home and notice when I lay into the gas we're stalling. Carb time? WEnt to auto zone and were looking at 200 for a new one and 20 bucks for a rebuild kit - hmmmm ? What to do have it rebuilt for 100 or buy new - Not sure if i can tackle this at home but understand its a rough job. Advice?

Carb rebuilding isnt rocket science..just has to be done correctly. It sounds like you may be loading up. Make sure the choke isnt getting stuck.

If you are going to have it rebuilt...and its gona cost 100 bucks...it may be worth it to get a whole new unit for 200. I paid 224 for my Edelbrock performer..great carb. But if you have a 2v now..you would need a new intake, as using a 4v carb on a 2v intake is pretty much pointless...good for guzzeling more gas but your not gona gain much.
