Motorcraft 4350 vacuum ports

Are both the vacuum fittings located on the front base of the 4350 above the throttle plates? Does it matter which one I hook the timing and the EGR to? Is one intended for the timing and the other for EGR? Thanks.

Lugnut...as far as I know both ports are above the throttle plates (ported vaccum?). I have the special EGR delete option on my motor :D The pass side one I plugged and the vacc advance is hooked up to the drivers side port. She seems to run a bit better this way. HTH
