I have an 87' gw. I am swithching the tail lights to the earlier style (big and chromey). My present system has the two bulb set up; a bouble filiment for the tail and brake lights, and a seperate single filiment bulb for the turn single. Is there any reasonably simple way to do this? Any ideas would be a great help. Thanks.

I don't think the rear body panel is the same back there, this might be a big chore.

They should fit I believe looking at a pic of an '80. Those housings look about the same height and the wrap around should cover the socket opening for the side marker. The only thing that may be exposed is the forward screw hole for the side marker.
Are the old lights a 2 wire system with one double filament bulb one for tail and the other for turn& brake? If so the easiest way would be to get a triple filament bulb and socket. I don't think they exist so you would have to get a relay/converter to convert a 3wire system to a 2 wire system. Same thing you would use to properly wire up a flat four trailer connector.
