a few questions from the new guy. Who knows?

I just bought a 80fsj. It smells like gas. Is this normal. A friend says his does too. It also squeaks alot driving around on the body. Any solutions for this? I'm fixin to do the interior is regular spray paint ok for the panels in the cab? I may spray the dash and metal too. Thanks guys.

Mine doesn't smell like gas! Check to make sure the fuel tank sending unit panel under the rear seat is on, and that your vent hoses are attached. It could also be in your carb etc. As far as the squeeking goes, I'd inspect your body mounts and make sure they are all in tact. It could be many other things. I had a friend find the location of the squeeks on mine as I drove, and tackled them one at a time. I still have a few mice in there.
