I have this yellow box hanging out from under my dash and I cant figure out what it is? IT has 3 adjustment points on it and they are for Low Speed SW. ADJ., Centerline Adj., and Sensitivty Adj.and then a hole to RELESE TERMINAL. WHAT IS THIS AND WHAT DOSE IT DO??????????

I think it's the cruise control. Were these things ever mounted or left to hang from the factory? Every Wag I've seen has them hanging under the middle of the dash. I haven't gotten my cruise to work yet so I can't help you with any adjustments.

It hangs... lazy robots! http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/smile.gif
I gave up on mine working.... I took the box out. It worked for about the first two weeks I owned it, but now the box is in my room.

I've got a yellow box too, but it's attached to the bottom of my firewall fuse panel (driver's side footwell). Any idea what THAT is? Whatever it is, it's squeaking and clicking like crazy and driving me nuts! The noises are concurrent with speed, if that helps.

It's the same Box mine starts to click at 55 mph.

So that's what that clicking is! I couldn't drive that fast and crawl around trying to find the noise, not legally anyway.

Mine starts to click (when it does--doesn't happen all the time) around 15 mph and turns into a steady squeak when cruising. Are we talking about the same box? Mine is plugged into the fuse panel, not held up (or not, as the case may be) with duct tape.
Plus, I don't recall seeing any holes or adjustment markings or anything...maybe I'm blind?

Does it connect to something like this: http://www.virtue.nu/yazahx/rand/cc.jpg
I think in the early 80s they werent located under the AC.. Because the harness is so short, the box should be yellow and have little dials on the side... my box was gone thats why I pulled the harness and thingy under my hood
