It seems I will be doing alot of wrenching on the Wag this weekend. I do not have Smog laws here in Missouri, so I was wondering..... How much of this stuff can I take off? What are the pro's and con's? I will be putting on a new manifold and 4 barrel carb soon so wont alot of it go away when I do that anyway? Thanks alot guys, you answer what no manual can!

Air pump and diverter valve can come off and block the air tubes to the exhasut manifolds... or take them off if you can.

You will have some extra vac lines to remove as well... I did mine aobut 4.5 years ago... can't remember everything... sorry... ;)

When I went with a manifold and carb replace, I started from 0 and went the other way with "what do i need to put back". I ended up with vac to the dist and PCV, and manifold vac to the power brakes. And a small manifold vac line to the vacuum canister. My air pump was already unhooked, and my charcoal canister is missing half the nipples, still need to do something abou tthat. I also still need to rplace the bolts in the manifold to get rid of the injector tubes, right now I just have the diverters blocked and have a small exhaust leak. Somewhere on here is the info on the bolts needed, including size and thread.

I ditched the AIR injection (smog) stuff. Use 9/16 fine bolts to plug the holes in the manifold  . I kept the EGR and dist. CTOs, charcoal, PCV. But I also ditched cruise and AC so my engine bay is not too crowded...
Have fun with the new setup :D
