EMERGENCY....1339 question...

I ordered a c hain from the local parts store and the one that came in was wrong size....but in the catalogs it is the correct part number cloyes #10-007. i took it back and got my money back, now i am wondering where to get one at??? is the one on jeepdoc.com the correct one for my 77 wagoneer even though it says it is for a 76-79 cj????

Well...it sounds like you may have had a PO swap in a 16% OD P/T kit. Was the chain too long or too short? Do you have selectable hubs on the front axle?

Same one as for the CJs.

Except for vehicles with a Part-time swap, the chain is the same for all Quadratrac. Was it way to small, or just a little? They can be a real chore to get on and feel to small. It may have been the right one after all.

no it was about one inch too long compared to the removed chain(which was already stretched). and to answer sitting bull's question, no i do not have the PT kit on my wagoneer, i have the bw 1339 w/ low range unit installed and the chain was too long. i just wanted to make sure the CJ chain is the same one i need for my 1339... thanks for the info guys

That chain may have been packaged wrong, or returned to the store in the wrong package. Jeepdoc is the best place for the chain. Order one from him.
