Ok, well my J-10 is running real Great Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley Moogleyty. When I have it in park it idles crappy, when in drive and sitting at an idle it dies, when in N it will run fine(kinda crappy) at an idle. While driving, there is no problem until I let off the gas, then dies. When I shut the truck off, it will sputter like it still wants to run, and today it back fired.

Ive got the 360, with a 2b carb. I found that there was a small vacume leak comming from the carb gasket, replaced that and it did nothing. I am at a loss to what could be wrong. I figure that it is prolly a vacume line somewhere, but im never really delt with vacume lines.

Any ideas?

Check for vacuum leaks. Also, when was the last time it got a tune up?

Hook up a vacuum guage, this can tell you if the timing is off, if you have a vacuum leak, wrong valve timing, etc.

hold a dollar bill to the exhaust pipe while it is idling and see if it sucks the dollar into the pipe.........
