lets see who knows their stuff...
any difference in outer size/dimension and bolt patterns on the core support between a 66 j2000 and a 69 wagoneer?
need the larger opening for the radiator that the 69 wag core has, but want to make sure that it will bolt up to the existing inner fenders, front fenders, rhino grill, frame of the 66 j2000

It will bolt up no problems.
Wouldn't think so, I have an 85 core support, inner fenders and front valance on the 70. I think the only changes to the core supports themselves were for the increase in radiator size.

Reviving a post from 02 here...
Same question for me, but wondering if the core support from a 76-83 (not sure of the specific year, but I wouldn't think there would be a difference) will work on an 84 GW.
Also, when searching for info on this, I found a pst where Tad gave some pointers on removing the doors and fenders to get the core support off. I replaced my front fender without taking the door off (feel free to go back and look at my handy dandy first attempt at body panel splicing :D ), and the tip that I came up with was to get some of the "ratcheting open end" wrenches for the bolts that you have to snake out from behind the door. Craftsman used to make these, not sure if they still do. I got mine from Lowes (Husky brand) and they are called Robo Wrenches. They just have a notch in one side of the open end to allow you to ratchet. Not the best for torquing something down probably, but it saves a big pain in the Great Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley Moogley when you don't have alot of room to work. Just a little tip there. It would no doubt be easier to take that fender off with the door removed, but I wasn't thinking outside the box that day.
Thanks in advance for the fitment question if anyone can clue me in.
the only difference i know of is for v8 vs I6 trucks.. the 8s had larger radiators thus a wider rad. opening
