Ok, I am going to replace the stock 2150 carb with an Edelbrock 1406 on a stock manifold using an adaptor plate, ..... yes I know, not the right way to do it, but should only be a couple months till I can get a performer manifold. Anyway, my question is: are there any special parts I need to get ordered to install the 1406? Such as linkages and the like? I don't want to end up in the middle of the job and find that some little part has to be ordered before I can get her back on the road.

Thanks!

The 1406 will hook up to your cable out of the box, but the question is the length from the bracket on the manifold to the throttle lever. I don't know where it would be on a stock intake/adapter/1406, but you adjust the cable by moving the bracket forward and aft. You may have to fabricate an "extension" for the braket, but that should not be hard. Or you might just have to "elongate" the holes in the stock bracket to get just a little adjustment.

Thanks, that was what I was wondering about. If it is just the length, I am sure I can rig something up to make it work.

Thanks!
