I'm looking for a set for my waggy and wanted to know what they are called.
Also, what other manufacturers rims will fit? I heard chevy 6 lug will.

Thanks!!
Chris

Those are often called 5 Slots or Slotted Dish...

Pre 88 Chevy 6 lug will fit...Along with some import trucks, BUT, some may have too much backspacing to run on a wag (tire might hit rear springs).

Stock factory five-slot alum wheels?

Those are factory forged aluminum wheels. They are *NOT* mags. Magnesium wheels wouldent hold up very goood on a rig as heavy as ours.

I'd like a 15" set.

Those are stock factory five-slot wheels. They are aluminum. Not sure whether they are forged or cast. Since there is a big differnce in cost between a forged wheel and a cast wheel, I would tend to think they are cast. Regardless, they are nice wheels.

Keep an eye out on the For Sale board, sometimes a set comes up for sale.

Cast wheels are very soft aluminum, mine are not soft at all. And thosse slots are machined into the wheel, mine still have the machine marks on them.

Now I could see cost as being an issue, but strength of mangnesium alloys are not.

Most magnesium wheels that came out in the 60-70's where rotted to nothing by the time the late 80's roled around.

My rig came with three of them, and the cool part was that I found two of the exact same wheels at the junkyard in their wheel bin. Even had the little holes for the Jeep hub caps! Unfortunately I only bought one - and I got it for $5 bucks!

Thanks guys. I picked up a set today at the swap meet but not sure the backspacing is going to work. What's the ideal backspacing for an 88 GW?
