The sending unit to my fuel guage isn't working. It is hooked up and seems to be wired ok. I called around to find a replacement but nobody in Az has or can get one. Seems they quit makin the darn things. At $187 (dealer quote) a pop I can see why. I need to know if anyone knows where to find this animal or if there is a sub for it. '82 J10 15ga tank.

I've had nothing but luck from them.
Although everythings wired up properly the mechanics of the sending unit could be...well rusted inside the tank. Heck I even replaced a new sending unit for not working properly.
Good Luck.

Oh yeah, check the sending unit before install.

Take out the sending unit and start there using a multimeter. I found my problem to be on the back of the gauge cluster.

Thought mine was broken too but the "tab" on the sending unit was corroded so bad it gave wrong readings. Clean it up first and see if that helps.
good luck!
