jeep cherokee grill [Archive] - International Full Size Jeep Association

my wife is wanting to use an inner grill from a cherokee or pickup for her 1991 grand wagoneer. she likes the vertical bar look better than the grill that came on hers. Does anyone know what year cherokees had this type grill. Also, is there more than one type of inner grill with the vertical bars. Were all the grilles plastic or were some metal? if all are plastic, does anyone know a good place to get plastic chromed?

I believe that grille was on '81-87 J trucks and '81-83 Cherokees.

DerekCorrect, and as well on the very few '88 J-trucks. To add, they were all plastic, and there were both argent (silver) ones as well as black. I've seen some variations of chrome/argent as well, not sure if something I've seen is aftermarket or not.
