What's your opinion on the rebuild kits offered by PAW? They have a 'Deluxe' kit that includes rings, rod and main bearings, oil pump, timing chain and the gaskets for $215- extra for the double roller timing chain and High volume oil pump. I will be taking the engine to a machine shop and let them look at it and decided what all it needs. I don't think it will need much more, I'm curious to see what the timing cover is like. Hopefully it won't need to be replaced.

Has anyone used a kit like this? It seems quite a bit cheaper than buying everything seperate but I don't know what brands they use either. Should I go with the double roller and HV Oil Pump? I am planning to do the oiling mods mentioned on Performance American Style's site.

Thanks!! :D

Double roller and HV pump will help improve the life of the motor. Definately do that, along with the oiling mods you mentioned. I just finished up some business with PAW. The only thing I recommend with them is double check every part number to make sure you have the right parts. They sent me rings for a 360 instead of a 401! Glad I checked!

Thanks for the reply, has anyone actually bought one of these kits before?
