I was thinking about taking off the stabilizer bar in the front and the track bar in the rear to get more articulation and wanted to know if the jeep is going to be all over the road going around an easy turn or if the brake lines will be ripped out on some nasty off camber situation. The jeep is not a daily driver and never sees the Interstate or speeds over 55. Just wanted some opinions. Also, what is the difference between a sway, track and stabilizer bar? Any other ideas for increased articulation before the lift? Thanks a lot.

Stabilizer and sway bar are the same thing. You can remove this but on road handling and stability are definately affected. On an 83 you did not have trac bars - they can be removed without much affect on FSJs.

I have a front sway/whatever bar... On my 79, With the superstiff (aka superlift) lift... I can't tell its not connected. lost 50lbs by taking it (and associated hardware) off! smile.gif
