I just received a new (old) set of center caps for my '89 GW. My question is, what is the size screw that is used to attach the center caps? Since these are prone to "fall off", does anyone have a recommendations on how to prevent this? Thanks!

I don't know what size, but if they're the screws that go from the backside of the wheel into the cap, the best thing to keep them in place is copperloctitesilicone... it's actually an approved replacement for safety wire on headerbolts for motorcycle roadracing...

I ended up using self tappers.

They do use self taping screws.
Also insure you use lock washers

RD, Prone to falling off? I can never get mine off after they have been on for a couple of months. I just went to the hardware store and bought some stainless screws. sprayed them with lithium greese(all I had on hand) to help keep them from "rusting". Usally I have to punch them out to get them off if they have been on for a couple of years.
