View Full Version : cutting off the top
It seems odd to be asking about cutting off the top with two feet of snow on the ground but it seems to be when my mind wanders the most. I know I have seen a picture of a fsj cut off just behind the rear passengers. I would like to find more picts. Has anyone tried to seal up proper including a window? Just wondering/ researching. Thanks.

This thread choptop (http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=024015#000004) should give you some ideas, or contact those whose rigs are pictured for more info. Good luck.

u could cut out the latch area from the door and cut out area on lower door, weld it in, would say that to be easier than fabbing the door edge to fit latch my .02 (sometimes not worth .01)

I started out thinking about moving the latches down. I pounded in door jamb a bit with a crosspein hammer and drilled em. I might still go that way, only prob is that I want to put toolboxes in the doors so I'm gonna have to use some kind of wire to activate the doors for clearance reasons. I might end up having to fabricate something entirely by hand to get it to look clean...i thought about the sliding latch on the outside, but that didn't seem to appealing ;)
