GM Power Steering Pump Question

Hey guys:

I've been working on getting TweetyBud up and running with the Chevy 350, and part of the process has been hunting for a power steering pump. I pulled one off a junkyard Chevy Caprice to get the brackets to fit the 350, and All my Atlanta area buddies helped me hook it up with a rigged hose from the Jeep steering box to the Chevy Pump. Only question we had was, that none of us were completely sure what that third fitting coming out of the back of the pump was.

One is for high pressure OUT, the other is for low pressure RETURN, and I THINK the other may have had something to do with the power brakes...could the pump also produce vacuum power for the brake booster???

Anybody know for sure about these old Chebbys...??

It must have come off a hydro-boost system and the third nipple is the returne line for that. Just cap it.
