tranny mount troubles

well the tranny mount that came on my j20 parts truck is broken,so off to the 'Zone i went to purchase another one. them,and all the other places ive called dont ask what tranny. !? they ask what engine,2bbl or 4bbl,but not what tranny? anyway,the only one anyone lists is the auto mount.

the dealer looked it up and found the right one,but alas,it is no longer made. http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/mad.gif

anyone else with a t18 have this prollem,and what did you do to fix it?

thots thus far are 1) drill and tap another hole in the adapter plate and use the gm style auto mount. 2) make a custom one with a flat plate and some rubber bushings.

Drill and tap for the easy to find GM mount. This will save a lot of trouble later on.

I'm with Bob on this one. I have the T-18 also, but haven't had to change mine yet. If I were to change mine I would definately go with the GM style. They are easy to find and prob, will be for some time to come http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Try to see if anyparts stores have a tranny mount for a scout with a T-19. They are they same mount from what I have seen.

But if you can't find one get a GM and drill it.
