O.k., guys I have to admit I didn't do my homework when I bought my replacement poly frame to shackle bushings. Reason is I have always heard that poly was JUST better. After doing a search and saw this I know now that I am mistaken...http://www.ifsja.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=002903

The problem I just ran into is that the new poly bushings don't want to fit. They seem to be the same size as the bushing "shield" that is there.
It looks that I will be sending these poly's back and ordering the rubber instead.
My question goes to anyone that has ever ordered the replacement rubber bushings from ESPO. Were the rubber bushings the same diameter as the factory...the poly's are not.

Thanks in advance.

I found out why my bushings won't fit. The "shield" must be taken out. Anyone know the easiest way of doing this?

Again thanks.

Yeah, it seems that I'm talking to myself  .

I believe that I'll use a saw-zaw and cut the shields or sleeves out. As for the bushings, I'm going to exchange them for the rubber.

Later.

I just used my Nobounce hammer and some persuasion tools to get mine out. It just takes some "finessing".

I prefer rubber over the polly, Ive had to replace the polly in the spring eye twice on my cj.. they crack up , almost as if they turned brittle.. never had to replace the rubber in the wag..

I had heard, don't remember where, that poly was the way to go. When I went to the ESPO website the poly was even cheaper than the rubber. I was kinda curious why.
I didn't realize that you needed to keep poly bushings lubricated, at least the ones that can move. I hate having to think of something else that I need tending to.
Don't get me wrong that's why I drive a Jeep ;) .

Thanks guys.
