Which CD-changers besides original are compatible with the Radio/Cass. player in a Jeep Cherokee 60th Anniversary model (2000)?
might try www.crutchfiled.com (http://www.crutchfiled.com)
I beleive they have a section where you can input what type of vehicle and it will tell you what receivers and/or speakers will fit.

Usually it's an Alpine changer with an adapter. We usually use a Peripheral adapter with an M-Bus Alpine changer. Be sure that all the parts are with the adapter, there is one seperate piece that the changer needs, without it the changer will plug in but smoke will start rolling out of it immediately. Check peripheral's web site to be sure.

I use one that is FM modulated. It plugs inline to the radio antenna. My original radio thinks there's an FM station that plays only my CDs.

I'll second Don. For $100 you can get an FM-modulated 10-disc CD changer from Wal-Mart. It's under the Xtreme brand name. I installed one in my Comanche and it works very well. I also got their $100 300Watt Jensen Amp and their $15(?) Amp installation kit. My speakers in boxes came from Big Lots and fit behind the seats perfect. Under $300 for a system that could drown out my then leaky exhaust tongue.gif
