Anyone know how to fix the spring in the cargo cover? Someone told me it was like winding up the old type of blinds, but the spring doesn't seem to catch.
Can the spring be replaced if needed?
Thanks,
Craig

I've never taken it apart. Been wondering the same as I have a spare but the matching one for the wag is seems messed up.
I assume your question is about the spring not winding. There is no 'catch' like modern roller blinds, but it hooks into the plastic catches near the tailgate when covering the cargo.

Mine pooped out on me, too. I'd really like to know how to fix it. I'm sure someday I'll dissect it to find out how it works, and if I can fix it or have to go hunt for another one.
The one I have I got by going to Traderonlin.com and searching for every Grand Wag for sale in the country, combing the ads for maroon interiors, then calling every dang one of them until I found someone willing to come off a cargo cover. Man, was I peeved when it got jammed up and broke!

I took the rod out and started to turn the cover trying to increase spring tension but I can hear the spring spin, like it's not catching.
I might just try to take it apart tonight.
