brake help

ok just replaced the front pads on my cherokee and went to replace the rear shoes. can't get the drum off. on all the other cars i've done this to you just pull it off. is there a special way to remove it? thanks for any help guys

I usually have to tap it with a hammer, you may need to loosen the brakes...

Check the adjuster screw. It is on the backside of the drum, bottom, usually with a rubber cap over it. It should be in your Chiltons/Haynes book, or FSM. I forgot which way to turn it to loosen the brakes :D
