Anyone have this problem?

I have started this truck maybe 10 times since my rebuild. 3 of those times I have blown the rubber oil filter seal out. It's just on start up when cold. Oil everywhere. I put the high pressure spring in awhile b4 the rebuild. I guess i need to go back to the regular pump spring. Dennis

I also seem to have lost the regualr spring. Anyone know where you can get the spring without buying the full oil pump rebuild kit? Thanks, Dennis

Where did you get the high pressure spring? I thought about buying the PAS one, but after talking to Randy Gyunn that sounds like it's TOO much pressure for anything other than a really loose tolerance quick-reving race engine.

KyJ10. Make sure that an old gasket is not stuck on the engine.

Yea I thought that might have been the reason, but it seems to be just too much pressure. I started it the other day, and it soured up well over 100lbs. My gage only goes that high, so it was probably much higher. I got my kit from performance american style. I think Summit also sells a rebuild kit. Dennis
