Has any body done a shackle reversal with out changing the front mounts? as I do not want any more lift?

I'm pretty sure you can't do a SR without life. The reason being, the frame dips down so that the rear fixed spring eye is lower than the top shackle bolt (bumper is higher than the springs).

In order to move the fixed mount to the front, you have to build the mount so that it is as far down from the frame as the lower shackle bolt is right now. When you go to put a shackle on the back of the spring, the new position of the lower bolt will be a lot lower than it was before. This will point your pinion down.

On my Wrangler I installed a custom SR and I had to lift it about 1.5" in order for it to work. On a GW, I am sure it is the same because the frames do the similar bend.
