I will be putting on the new 1" fuel filler hose tonight. Is there anything I can do to ensure a better, tighter, longer lasting seal on either end. I'll be using hose clamps, the locking kind, but could RTV or anything else add to the seal? I noticed the original hose was cut by the metal sleave at the filler end. Ideas?
