Do we have a weatherstrip. manufact. yet?

Hello everyone. I know this subject has been discussed to no end. Awhile back I heard that someone was going to contact a weatherstripping manufacture or something. Has this come about? Thanks in advance for the replies.

The dealer still carries weather stripping, window tracks etc for the doors and tailgates. If your local dealer says it's unavail...call another dealer. Or for door weather stipping get the generic stuff JC Whipme sells and cut your own(cheaper too).

Some weatherstripping is no longer being carried by the dealer. I just got the "belt stripping" for the GW window from the dealer but not for the tailgate window.

I'm big on trying to put back what was there, but that does not make it right. Just right for me.

Long winded way of getting to say that there are some companies that do not advertise much but carry the right stuff. Went through this on my Plymouth. In that case, one company had the correct material for the belt strips - unlike the so called reproductions the big name retailers were pushing. What they didn't have was the pieces cut to size with the clips installed. BUT, when I called them, they were very happy to have my old ones as models and give me a discount. Very decent.

So what I am getting at is that I think it is likely they would make up weatherstrips if they can, but someone will have to provide an original sample. Also, relise they will prob not know all the years it will be good for, so some advice from FSJers will help them and help us.

I bring this up because I have read others trying to get reproductions made up, and hope this will help.
