just got the flex plate bolted to the torque converter. i used the 2 bottom bolts to hold the engine and trans together. tomorrow, i hope to get the top 4 bolts holding the trans to the motor. those little t/c bolts are a pita. i srayed the lightening hole on the flex plate with a blast of yellow paint before i pulled the dead engine. i used this as a guide to line up the bolts. the 1st one was a pita, 'cause the bolt would just push the t/c away from the plate. i used a fan pulley stud as a holder on one hole whilst i screwed the bolt in another. any way all 4 are snugged up.
