I think my 208 might be in need of a rebuild. I lock the hubs and put it in 4x4H and only the rear turns. Same with low. When i roll and look under the front drive shaft is turning, but as soon as i hit a hill or get off road it doesnt spin. Im assuming since im still driving it, maybe the chain is broken? Thanks Dennis

Doubt very much that your chain is broken, the front output gear would suck it up and push it through the side of the case as soon as you locked your hubs.
To start with I'll assume that you've checked all the linkage. :D
If the lever feels like you are shifting the case (you can feel the detents for the gear selection) then my guess is that the shift fork (inside case) is slipping on the shaft or has broken alltogether.
It is not difficult to pull the case and split it if you have basic mechanical skills and a good manual. You can have it out and split in under an hour. Parts are available for that case.

If it is a shift fork, how much should I expect to pay for the fork? There are no leaks and it shifts fine. So maybe I can get by with just replacing the fork? If you do a search under "208 diagram" there is a good diagram of the 208. Does anyone have part numbers for all the parts shown on this diagram? Thanks Dennis

Check with the various drivetrain places. Someone, I think in Phoenix, makes an upgrade shift fork kit for the NP208 that supposedly solves the shifting problems the NP208 can have. It is made out of steel instead of aluminum. I read an article sometime back on this. It is also cheaper than the factory parts.
