Tranny linkage

Just wondering where the heck is the transmission linkage and how do I unattach it? I know I'm showing my stupidity here. I'm doing a body lift and need a few pointers. Thanks

There is a rod that extends down from the steering-column on the engine-side of the firewall, with a bolt that locks it into place. Look up from underneath and you should see where it hooks to a bellcrank running from the frame to the transmission that moves the actual lever on the transmission.

But as Crazy says, it would be more helpful if you told us the year and drivetrain combo you were working with.

LOL, I was not sure if this was a manual shift or an auto. As Bob mentioned is where the linkages are. You may only have to adjust them after body lift. Depending on how high. Good Luck

Its a 3" lift--do I need to disconnect before or adjust after?
