View Full Version : wagoneer seats in a cherokee
Can swap in those nice high back leather bucket seats from a wagoneer into my 79 cherokee? I don't want power seats but I want the comfort with as little work as possible.

I don't see why not. I would assume they will interchange with little or no mods.

Only issue is that they no longer tilt forward for someone to climb into the back seat.
Otherwise they work great. And I actually like the power seats (didn't think I would).

The seats themselves will interchange; the change in the driver's-side floorpan in 1980 prevents a simple installation of a later seat-bracket in an earlier truck.
You could use the newer seat without the later electric base, but adding electric seats to your rig will be a bit more work.
