I got the straps off on the axle side, but I dont have any tools that fit the case side. It seems like a half inch 6 point bolt, but a wrech and a ratchet are too big to fit in there. What do you guys use?
BTW its an 84 Grand Wag

I just took one off yesterday and used a short 1/2" twelve point box end wrench to do it. After the front is loose and the transfer case in netural you can rotate the shaft and it makes it easier to loosen the bolts. Good luck

Yeah thats what I tried and I couldnt get the closed end on and the open end didnt would just result in me rounding the bolt because I couldn't break it loose. I will get back under there with some heat or something and see if I cant get it off.
Thanks

I noticed on one of the bolts I wasnt able to get my 1/2" wrench on it. I looked through my tool box and found a 1/2" wrench with a thinner boxed end and it went on fine....just work slowly and carefully and you will get them loose.
