hello everone, i would really appreciate some input on this question. i recently got my 74 cherokee back from my buddy jake ( metalmonster) and he and i were having a debate on whether the quadratrac t-case could be bolted to a auto tranny that was in jakes 69 gladiator. the motor was a 350 buick and we think the tranny was a AS8f or something. this is keeping me up at nite beacause this is the setup i will be running so i would appreciate some input from anyone, thanks.

No; all FSJ autos after '65 were the TH400. He would have to swap the output shaft, but aside from that, he could bolt on the QT case with the factory adapter. In fact, if he found a '73 QT tranny, it would bolt right on, as the only difference was the adapter ring from the tranny case to the engine bellhousing.
