Ok I am trying to figure out my AC.
Where is the AC module?
Where is the thermistor?
What does the thermistor do?

My low and high side pressures are within spec and the compressor works if I put it direct to power. Blows cold when jumped. AC blower fan works well in all speeds.

No power to the wire that connects to the compressor. The low pressure switch is good and has continuity through it.

I traced the wire to the firewall but I get lost when inside the passenger compartment.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

sounds like the a/c temp switch

Can only help with one of your questions. I think this is correct, but it has been a few years. A thermistor is a temp. sensing device. Current is applied and voltage drop across the sensor is measured. The resistance of the thermistor changes with temp, so the voltage drop is calibrated to the change in temp.

Now on a Wagoneer, I have no clue what it is used for. Probably to keep the compressor from freezing.

From what I remember, there is a wire going to the compressor, and either 1 or 2 wires going to the hoses on the passenger side fender. Both mine busted because of that great amc wiring...I'd check those out.
