While I was going through the inside of my big-j, I noticed a box mounted behind the front passengers O-!#$% handle on the front dash. I reached through the glove box and to the right and felt the box and then took the glovebox out to see what is was. I still have no idea what it is and all the wires are disconnected from the previous owner; it runs fine. (Small aluminum box about the same size as an ignition module)

Any ideas?

im guessing it may be a cruise control module. is it duct taped in position?

No its still mounted in there by a bracket but not plugged to anything. There's a nice big fat plug on the end of all the wires like it goes into the wiring harness somewhere, but the wires coming out are only about 8" long before the plug, so I'm guessing it gets connected to something directly behind the glove box in the middle.

I just pulled the box out and there is not one label left on it. Just a small 4"X5" square box about 3" thick with 4 wires coming from it into the square plug with about 9 pins inside it.

Does it have any adjustment screws? That would be the cruise module.Do your windshield wipers work and are they intermit wipers?if they don't work could be wiper control module

yes it does have adjustment screws, but my wipers work, I guess I'll take in in to Dodge to see if they can look up the numbers on the back.

Thanks for the help!! Again!!!

Then you have cruise control I'm assuming cause that sounds like the control box for it.It's how you fine tune your cruise.

If you have a six cylinder, what you have found could be the computer control box for the carburator.

P.S. On a different forum, the term "big j" might mean something completly different!!  :D
