Hello, New to the site. Glad to see it so helpful. I have a question on where I can find a sending unit for my new poly tank. Unfortunately, factory sending unit was totally rusted and crumbled when inspected.
I would greatly appreciate any info. on where to find a unit connects to factory gauge. Thanks Again.
'79 J-10 Honcho that's got no go.

Dealer item only. Might have a waiting period.
By the way, welcome to the forum. Cool handle you got there; that was the last Tom Cruise movie where he actually fit the part (I'm an ex-Green Beanie, so I don't buy his later impossible mission acts.)

I talked to Sharon at Raybucks this afternoon and she has a OEM style Sending unit for a 79 Honcho pickup. The part number is JPSU-1 and the cost is $39.95 http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/smile.gif Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply! I tried going to the Jeep Shop (Troy Aikman Auto Mall) to get a OEM unit, but they said it had been discontinued. I really do appreciate the info. If I can help with anything give me a buzz. I got the handle from my nickname thru High School. Brock is about 45 minutes West of Fort Worth on I-20. Thanks again!

P.S. By the way what is the instrument type metal tubing in the corner of the bed(driver's side front). I don't know if your model has this but its worth a try. I think I can get by without using it. Your thoughts are appreciated.

I never heard of your town, but then again I haven't lived in the area since I enlisted in 1981. I'm from Arlington and will be there for Turkey Day next week. I now live in Upper Arlington, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, and I jokingly refer to my dad's home as being in "lower" Arlington, TX. I hope to go to the Cowboys/Vikings game while everyone else is napping.
