You can get them from a guy on here by the name of Kyrel. He is selling them for $115. They are no tthe hard to make though. But his are very good quality. Do a search and you will find them on here. We were just talking about them a couple of days ago so it should not be to hard to find.
If it pops out of 2 hi then a twin stick wil not help. You need to replace the detent ball and spring and maybe even the shift rod.
I made my twin stick from using a combo from a D18 and a scout D20 case.

Thanks for the info on the twin stick does the guy who makes them have a web site or email. I had read the text on the one that you did sounds like it works good but I don't have a d18 to work with. I was looking for one that bolted on in place of the single shifter that is there now. will I be able to shift into 2lo with a twin stick or will I only have the 4hi,4lo and 2hi that I have now. I thought it was popping out of 2hi because the shifter was so sloppy when you push it in real hard it stays and I thought becuase it had so much play and is hitting the floor becuase it goes so far forward that that was the problem.

his shifters are good quality, but i dont think your popping out of 2wd is a shifter or linkage prollem. id be willing to bet you got a worn/broken detent spring.
the link is not for his shifters, but they look pretty much like that. they are designed to replace the U box on a FSJ d20,using the factroy big pole arrangement.

if anyone needs help with building a twin stick, let me know. not to knock the other guy's, but i am into saving as much as possible, and why spend $115 when i have about $10 in mine? it probably isn't as pretty, but i bet it works just as well.

it depends on the project. in some cases money spet is better than time spent. i made my own disc brake brackets for my 44.i only spent about $15 on the metal, but i prolly had 10 hours worth of grinding, trial fitting, and drilling and tapping. when it came time to make the brackets for the 14 bolt ill be swapping in,i found a guy that sold the brackets, spacers, and grade 8 bolts for $100 shipped. have lots of stuff to do to get it ready,so i decided my time was wrth the $100 to not hafta mess with em. they are laser cut,and real nice, and all i gotta do is bolt em on smile.gif
yes twin sticks are easy to make.but some people would ratehr just have it arrive at their door and bolt it on,and alotta people care how they look,so theyd rather not manufacture something that is fuctional and ugly.(not saying that yours arre ugly, lillysdad, just speaking generally).
build em or buy em,nothing wrong with either way. smile.gif it is nice to have a choice, tho.am very glad i didnt hafta spend a whole day making brake brackets for my 14 bolt.

Right there with you Scotty, I spent countless hours designing and fabricating my H-Lift jack mount for my J10. I must have spent hours in Home Depot alone looking for various washers, bolts and other parts to make what I had envisioned, then the fabricating, grinding, welding, and consumables (paint, grinder stones, dull drill bits). I spent several nights building my mounts. Now my installation is custom, darn near theft proof, sturdy but it was a lot of work. I know why people spend $20 for a off the shelf hi-lift mount and mount it where the mount permits. Don't get me wrong I love my mount and fabricating for that matter) and could not have mounted it where I did any other way but just buying it would have been nice. Plus some people just have access to better machines (laser cutting, cnc, etc)!

I can say this....I finally finished my Twinstick!!! after about 4-5 days of in and out several times... parts runs and different designs...PITA!!! But it works great and only in it for $15 but LOTS OF TIME!!!
I'm not proud of the design...but I am happy with it's operation.
NO...I will NOT be making these for production..sorry... ;) PITA!!!

Here's a pic of the twinstick after install...carpet not completely installed yet, but the shfiters work GREAT...under $10 to build...the shifter levers are actually TIRE IRONS!!! They have the PERFECT angle for the job! :D

he he,i knew youd come up with somethin cool like tire irons with golf balls on em for shifters. :D
thats really cool,RB,i dig it! really cool how you angled em over to for easier "shiftability".nice work!
Great, now I'm gonna have to find me some tire irons over at the auto shop now, thanks for the extra project RB. Looks very nice.

So the golf ball idea worked for you :D ! I painted mine, one red, one black for a visual when it coms time to shift. That why I don't make a fatal mistake redface.gif !

I am getting the USMC golf balls from the Pro Shop with the EGA on them... :D
That is a really cool setup RB!!! It is so cool to see what other people come up with when they are posed with a problem.

Thanks!!! This is the 'first' try at it... I have some other ideas brewing, but I have to finish up the rest of the drivetrain.... heck it works great... I'll leave it alone for now until I have idle time. ;)
One thought... this is WAY out there.. :D
Electric dual servos set up with relays... :D might be do-able ;)
