The kit works well as long as you install it right. It will provide solid shifts all the time. Just follow instructions very carefully.

I have it I my T400 along with kevlar clutches and while it is melloing out a little, it shifted hard enough to turn the 33's on pavement with a posi going into 2nd. Course the 32 year old posi did not like it to well and gave up. Must be sumptin to do with 15years of hard wheelin. Love the way the tranny is working though, should of done this years ago!

I have the B&M HD in mine... I like it...I didn't drill on mine... I have a firm shift and didn't want to risk going thru u-joints with too hard of a shift...

So explain to me the shift kit. Is it difficult to install? How much does it cost, and where would I get one?

The modulators are adjustable via a screw in the center of the vacuum port. I believe you screw it in for higher RPM shifts and out for lower RPM shifts. Any replacement modulator will have this adjustment.
RiverBeast be sure to check to see if yours is adjustable first before buying a new one.
Also the TH400 used an elbow extension for the modulator. When you get a new modulator they are more less universial types and the elbow will need to be removed for the modulator to function right. The modulators can be had at any parts store and are about half the size of the stocker's.
