View Full Version : GAS IN OIL!! HELP!!

Today i took the plug out of the oil pan and it poured out REAL fast and like water, it wreaked of gas and i could see the gas seperating from the oil, the jeep has been sitting for 3 years and has been started about 5 times since then.

Check your floats on the Carb....

... or your fuel-pump diaphragm.

I vote for the fuel pump diaphragm because i just had to replace mine and change my oil.

Yup fuel pump I just posted the same question last week...Replaced pump changed oil and ran the poo out of it and now its good to go.. :D

You don't...Just replace the complete pump and your done. Pretty cheap too.

You just change the whole fuel pump as one unit. I just bought one from NAPA for like $15.Comes with the gasket. Two bolts and two hoses. Piece-o-Cake.. ;)
