to all you 3 wire O2 users.....

I am going to be hooking up my Dakota Digital MVolt meter this weekend to use with my 3 wire O2.....I have only used the one wire in the past so am not familiar with hooking up a 3 wire......my O2 has 2 black wires and one white wire.....I know the white is my output to the guage and the other 2 are for the O2 heater.....so does one black go to ground and the other to switched power.....does it matter which black goes where?...THANKS!!!!

Veepster,

Take an ohm meter and measure from the O2 sensor shell to each black wire one at a time. You should get an infinite reading on both. If so, then it doesn't matter which wire is pos and which is neg. DO NOT touch the white wire with the ohmmeter. The current will damage the sensor.
