To the group, I have been fighting my M715/Wag combo for a while trying to get the brakes up to par. What booster/brake combinations seem to work best? I have the Dana 70/60 setup w/ drums all around. I do have a variety of available parts, J20 booster, Chero booster, etc. Also, which proportioning valve would work best here. It originally had a single stage master cylinder w/ no booster or proportioning valve. Any comments or ideas appreciated.

http://www.uglytruckling.com has a disk brake conversion for the front of that rig.
They have a tech write up also.
You can install the disc brakes set up, and swap in a J20 proportioning valve, plus add the J20 booster with master cylinder.
I put the J20 MC and booster in my '66 cab and you have to elongate some holes in the firewall and add a couple others to match up the aluminum spacer block.... but it's all a go.
I could send you a picture of my fire wall mod if you send me an e-mail requesting it: elliottsydnam@yahoo.com
Riverbeast has a write up on how to do a hydroboost conversion on top of all that if you're running big tires and want even more umpf in your brakes.
