Did you try jump starting it? I would change the cable myself if it doesn't look good. That's probably the cheapest thing to do before you start diving into the more expensive things.

Why did the other battery go dead?, did they test it when you brought it back? Most batteries don't just die in 3 months, they get put to death by something else. Maybe it's something silly, is the black ground cable attached to the chassis of the vehicle? Did you get lights, radio, anything?

ya they tested it and he said it was dead so he gave me another one for free..there isnt nothing lights or nothing, so it might work if i jump it and the ground wire is hooked up it might just be the whole black cable

Did you have him check the new battery before you took it? If not, take it back, have them fully charge and check it.

ya he checked it and he said it was fine i think it is just that cable becuz its all taped up and its like spliced.and there was light for a little bit when i moved the ground wire on it so is it the cable??????????
Replace the cable, or at least borrow one from another vehicle to be sure. Spliced and taped battery cables are not very safe anyway, although you shouldn't be doing any damage on the ground side.

You may not be doing any damage (ie arcing), but you certainly aren't helping things by having a ground cable like that.
I can tell you that mine was shot, not replacing it promplty is what probably caused my first starter solenoid to burn up.
And then my started pinion gear blew up, so I bought a lifetime starter.
And then the coil primary (12v) wire broke, and I kept trying to start the car and the backfiring ruined the starter (yeah, I wouldn't believe it myself except it happened to me), so I'm on my third starter. Thank you God for giving me the sense to spend the extra 5 bucks on the lifetime starter (the first time)!
Replace the cable, it's fairly inexpensive anyway.
