If this is a new behavior, then I bet you got one or both axles off of 90* to the long axis of the frame...

Are you talking about crab-walking?

All right... Now I am getting confused???? are we talking about it driving woppyjawed down the road? or are we talking about wheel hopping???? I am guessing woppyjawed ( sideways, crooked, not parallel with the with lines on the road) it would have to be something causing an axle to be lacated incorrectly. Did you make new spring hangers for the shackle flip? how about the sping over is the alingment hole on the spring pads located correctly???

If your Jeep never did this before, then it must be from your re-arrangement of the axles, unless you have had a major crash that bent the frame (I bet you would remember that!). The long axis of the axle must be at 90 degrees to the long axis of the frame. A better measurement would be from any reference mark on a frame rail (say the very end of the frame rail) to the center of the wheel on one side. Record that number, then do the same on the other side. They have to be exactly identical. Do this for both wheels. If one side is longer then that axle is literally mounted crooked and has to be re-done.

You could also measure the diagonals, left front to right rear and right front to left rear, wheel to wheel. The measurements must be exactly identical in order to be square. You want the wheels to form a perfect rectangle, not a parallelogram.
