Well folks I've had a couple busy days. Between playing housemouse and Mr. Dad, I've gotten a couple things done on the J20. I have, stripped the interior, installed a new piece of flooring on drivers side, R&R'd the windshield, instrument cluster, steering column, seats, painted the metal portion of the dash and rest of the interior, installed new oil and temp guages, and in general just cleaned things up. I think I am going to replace the bad carpet with the rubber replacement available through JC Whitney. I will be picking up the heads and rest of my 401 parts on Friday and then it will be time to finish building the engine. Does everyone else enjoy this as much as me or am I just weird??

Thanks, I knew you would pick up on that last comment. No it isn't snowing over here. Heck of a gully washer we had today huh? I got the windshield into the truck just as the rain hit. I grabbed the guy across the street, should have seen the look on his face when I asked him if he had ever put a windshield in before and then told him he was about to learn how.

You should have called, I needed a break from the garage. I've got the grinders mounted on the stands and compressor moved, almost got it useable. It'll be ready to do the 401 next week.

Cool, My only problem now is that I've got part of the clan coming in tommorrow and they will be staying for a couple weeks. You'll get a chance to meet my Dad tho. I also have to work Mo, Fri, Sat, and Sun so I'm not sure how to place my time yet. The main reason I've been trying to get this other stuff done is so that I can concentrate on the engine tho. At any rate I'm going to get some shuteye so c ya later. I'll call you.

It's great having another Jeep guy nearby. Even though he has to use my garage to work on his once in a while. And good to have skilled help too!! Don't tell him I said that. http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/cool.gif

Bud
The floor looks good, nice job. If you need some more steel I've got some 16 gauge you can use. http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/cool.gif
