I have two questions that i just know you guys can answer. First off, the PO sprayed the front windshield black for some reason. I need to know if the paint can be removed and if so, by what.
Second, the dimmer switch for my interior lights dims and brightens the dash lights ok, but will not turn on the courtesy lights unless i fiddle with it just right. The clock will also flash brightly sometimes when driving. It isnt just when hitting bumps, nor is it when braking all the time. Does the switch need to be replaced?

Sometimes, if it is not too thick, Acteone will work just fine. Pour it on the rag/cloth. Be careful and patient and you won't mess anything else up. Acetone is not bad for your paint job, but if it is oxidized/faded, you might have a different shade around the trim.....

And Bon Ami will polish your windshield pretty darn good. (Gold paper can like Ajax or Comet.)

There is a product called "Goof Off"--a paint remover. Usually found in the paint section of a Home Depot or Lowe's. Works pretty good and doesn't seem to mess up what is under the paint...

Thanks for the help on the paint guys, i picked up some remover and will try it when the weather is a little warmer. We actually got a snow flurry this morning. My boys were fired up too.
Any suggestions on the dimmer?

sounds like a worn out dimmer switch to me. also make sure it is plugged in tightly and that the plug isnt burnt.
