first take a screw driver and knock one side in if it knockes a hole in the freeze plug dont worry your going to replace it anyway once you knock the plug side ways get a pair of channel locks and pry the old plug out some people like to put sealer on the new plugs take the new plug insert a socket almost the inside dia and tap the new plug in the hole remember that all the plugs in the engine are the same age and you might find more leaking later
