hey gang! i just got back from costco, where they mounted my tires on my new (to me, anyway) bullet-hole mags. (70's jeep optional wheels) i bought them from a board member, spent a couple of hours on each one with a file, several grades of sandpaper, rubbing compound, buffing wheel, and finally mothers mag and aluminum polish. they look great! just gotta fix a few of the hub cap holes, and i'm good to go. pics to follow.

I used the best ones on the rig, and the others are just out back killin' grass.I thought about trying this on them and seeing what I get. Anyone ever tried it? I like the look of the aluminum a lot on Moose's. I also saw some re-done by some outfit in OK City. (Mucho $$ I bet) I just know I would like to do something with this extra set.

buddy: do you mean the factory "turbine" wheels? with all the fins? i would think that would take forever to polish. i wouldnt want to go there! if thats not the type of wheel you have, got pix?
bigun: so far thats not a problem. worst its seen is a dirt road, or a narrow trail through the woods. but...... who knows..... smile.gif
everybody else: thanx! bodywork and paint is up next!
