... Well, first the "I" needs to be qualified - I did the upgrade at the Cook-out and Wrench Session at SittingBull's House (Thanks again for hosting Brad!). No less than 5 guys helped... even though it wasn't very difficult. Jeff designed the coil mount, Brad cut it out, Bill finished and mounted it, Mark superivised wiring and Kimbrough stuck with me from start to finish - from crimping wires and gapping plugs to setting the timing in the rain. Thanks.
Okay enough about how it went in - how does it run?
I probably gained 2-5 HP. But if I gained none, that's fine. The big improvements are in drivability - Bushwood nolonger stumbles from a stand still. Before, if I hit the accelerator hard from a dead stop... well, "dead" takes on a different meaning - it would either sputter or die. Now, when the light turns green, I can stomp it and it hauls *** !
The TFI upgrade feels more like fuel injection. It just woke Bushwood up. It has better throttle response and starts faster as well.
It only took you guys 2 years to convince me to do it.... Thanks!
