Hmmmmm...double the amperage on a wire that is barely adequate for the job it was originally designed for......great idea! keep 'em coming!

Are you sure that your low beams arent always on when you turn your high beams on? A while back i ran a jumper to the low when the highs were on and it didnt seam to make any diffence. This would work though if you had a four head light system that turns the lows off when you switch to high(Some chevy pickups and burbans).
Maybe some headlights dont do work the same as the ones I tryed it on though...

You may not have noticed any difference, but the floor-dimmer switch literally cuts off current to one terminal and sends all of it to the other terminal. So, in the high position, the low-beam blade on your headlights is not getting any current.

Yeah, I know how the switch works I was guessing that the light bulb was designed to automaticaly have the low on then the high came on.
The light I tested it on was a 180/90W H4 replace able bulb, that i have wired up with 10guage wire and relays to make sure there is no voltage drop.
